Super Punch-Out!! - The fourth game in the Punch-Out series, this is another on the list I never actually played because, quite frankly, while I've always enjoyed fighting games like Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat, I simply can't say the same for boxing games. Still, the game was well-received at the time and I'm sure it's perfectly fine if that's your thing.

Yoshi’s Island - Released at the end of the SNES lifecycle, Yoshi's Island is at once a sequel to Super Mario World and a prequel to the entire Mario franchise. It featured a new hand-drawn artstyle and was the first, and one of the only, games to use Argonaut Games's Super FX2 microchip which was designed to improve graphics capabilities on the Super Nintendo. Doom was another SuperFX 2 game, as was the never-released Star Fox 2.
And that's all folks! What games are you excited for? Which ones do you wish were included but didn't make the cut? Let me know in the comments or on social media.
Kicking off our countdown is a Capcom classic, a game that came to the SNES by way of the late '80s arcade scene — Final Fight. It was an evolutionary brawler in its original coin-op form, taking the beat-'em-up structure of earlier titles like Double Dragon to the next level. Then, on the SNES, it helped define what 16-bit home console brawlers would be — and inspired two SNES-exclusive sequels. Well, kind of three. 'Final Fight Guy' came out a few years later to bring ninja fighter Guy back as a playable option — he'd been cut from this first version, leaving only Cody and Mayor Mike Haggar to beat the Mad Gear gang out of Metro City.
We’re not going to name names, but some of us here at Complex consider the SNES the greatest system of all time. And yes, we’ve played the Sega Dreamcast. It’s the SNES library of games that sells it for us. In no other console’s history have the quality of games been better and more diverse than they were for the SNES. Not even the PS2’s. The first party, Nintendo games were great, of course. But perhaps in the last time in Nintendo’s history, the third-party games were just as good. It was a system that rivaled and beat the Sega Genesis at the finish line and still holds up today. So, enough gushing from us, here’s the damn list already.
